We are quite experienced in removing wisdom teeth with minimal discomfort.
Wisdom teeth or the Third Molars are the last teeth to erupt and they usually penetrate the gums during late teenage/ early twenties or later.
Most people have four wisdom teeth, whilst some miss a few or all naturally.
When there is inadequate room for complete eruption of wisdom teeth, they get wedges in the bone to cause impaction.
It’s sometimes wiser not to have your wisdom in your mouth!
- Wisdom teeth removal is a very common procedure and is usually done at an earlier age before the problem worsens. Wisdom teeth extractions can be done in the chair under local anaesthetics or under sedation.
- Untreated impacted wisdom teeth can cause infection, crowding, pain, cysts, ulcers, gum infections around the second molar, and resorptive cavity in the second molar.
